Most likely a repost, but is it possible to download new themes/skins for XP - that has taskbars, tabs and icons like vista? I like I went on the MS website, has weird W.O.W and Need for Speed skins for only the audio players? - too fancy, browsed other forums as well - but feeling a bit sus it could have a virus or not work. I'm running on 1.75 GHz so installing Vista wouldn't work Anyone have any sound links ( without viruses) that would have something like this? If so how big is the download and will it lag my computer? Thanks all!
Those are not supported by microsoft, else Vista would have been an even bigger fluke. You'll have to hack you'r uxtheme.dll to allow such unsupported themes. Of course, there are some microsoft sanctioned ones.
This is a M$ proprietary theme for XP; http://www.techspot.com/downloads/3612-zune-theme-for-winxp.html I like and use it. It turns the task bar and windows sort of shaded dark gray. (It's prettier than it sounds, not all blue overkill like stock XP). If you were looking for flames shooting out all over, alien visages, skulls and the like, can't help you, sorry.
