  1. Which graphics card would give me better overall performance for my money?

    The nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT Video Card, 128MB DDR3, 128-Bit, DVI/TV-Out, AGP 8X
    or
    The ATI RADEON 9800 PRO Video Card, 128MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP ?

It depends on the prices. The 6600gt is a little better, plus it's newer and has shader model 3 etc. I saw the 9800pro recently for around $160us, while the 6600gt is still slightly below $200.

    Edit: 9800pro price

Well this is actually closer to compare to the X800 pro the the other one you picked the GT is a great card for the money I would go with a GT.
