Which hard disk for Compaq Evo N1020v?

Hello.
I would like to get Your advice on which hard disk to buy for Compaq Evo N1020v? I am not really familiar with whole ata, sata... I read somewhere that this model of laptop goes with the ultra ata-100, ata-5, something like that, but I am not really sure so if anyone knows or has this kind of laptop please let me know. So, what hard disk to buy, considering the interface for connecting? Would maybe ata-300 hard disk go with it or? Thanks.

You will need an ide (also called ata or pata, NOT sata) drive.
It probably came with a 20gb drive, but your computer will handle up to 40gb.
Unfortunately, a new drive this size will cost as much as some much larger drives.
You may find refurbished drives and "pulls" for less than $50.
