  1. Hey,
I recently installed a second copy of XP on a second partition on my HDD, but when it comes time to boot, i don't know which is which it just says:
    Windows XP Professional
    Windows XP Professional
So i can't tell which one is which, becasue I want to install vista on one of them, but it has to be on the small partition. any help would be greatly appreciated.
    cheers

Why in the world would you install the same OS for dual booting?:blackeye:

Click on one and find out. One will obviously have all your programs that you loaded it on and the other will be a basic load of XP Pro

My suggestion is the only solution.

The C: drive by default is you main XP pro and what ever drive letter you made, the other is your newer load with nothing on it.

Your not going to break it just by clicking on one

You need to tell me what you did to make a dual boot in the first place?

He did it so he could upgrade one of them to Vista RC1 without messing up his main Windows XP installation.
