Why all of a sudden my computer crashes?

I have a Acer Aspire M1610 desktop pc, and all of a sudden it crashed, I couldn't press and move anything, so I turned it off and back on , 5 minutes after been turned on it crashes again! It's done this 4 times now :/ can anyone help me ASAP, I really need this computer for tomorrow.

What version of Windows and what antivirus program are you running?

Windows 7 and avast anti virus

Could be a failing hard drive... Bad news, I know

If you have another computer handy, you could burn a UBCD (Ultimate Boot CD) to boot the bad computer with. This CD contains tests for the hard drive and memory:

Nope, the computer needs to be looked over by a person that knows how to fix them...
