I want to get a draft-n route/ap/bridge for my network.. I dont need the routing aspect of it since my routing is all done with a windows server 2003.. I just need an ap for my laptop to connect to my network.. I can get a router and disable the "routing functions"(dhcp, dns, wan port, ect) and just run a cat5e from one of the lan ports to a port on my gigabit switch and waalaa, its an ap/bridge.. An ap/bridge doesnt have any "routing functions" and only has a single lan port(no wan) so its capible of much less than what a router can do.. So why is a router like $30-$50 and an ap/bridge $60+?????
