Why won't my video work anymore?

    Here's the deal. My laptop has a combo CD/DVD drive, the CD drive works fine, but my DVDs have started not to work so well anymore. Instead of going smoothly, it (both audio and video) works for like a second then stops, and keeps repeating that cycle. It used to work fine, and it's only a few months old. Does anyone know what happened here, and what I can do about it? Thanks.

    try cleaning the laser head with a DVD cleaning disk - available at most computer and electronic stores.

    not that I want to steal this thread, but if you do not have cleaning DVD, what can you do. I mean how to clean the drive manually, what solution should be applied?
