Hi, this is really upsetting ...
I have a Ralink Wireless LAN (USB Network Adapter) connected and everything works fine, I plug in my Packard Bell, Store and Save 3500(USB 250 Gb Ext Hard Drive) and within an hour, the system freezes solid ! I have installed the latest drivers - makes no difference it freezes. If I unplug the Wifi USB and plug in the Ext Hard Drive everything works fine - this is driving me crazy, please save me, any idea's anyone...?

So, basically, if you have both devices plugged into your system it consistently locks up?

I could be wrong, but it sounds like it might be an IRQ conflict. This might be able to help you.

Hi and thanks so much ...
I've checked out the advice on USBMan and IRQ conflicts, I have plugged in the Ext HDD with the wifi also plugged in and checked system manager etc, there appear to be no conflicts under USB and everything seems to be fine ? its all very frustrating ...
any other idea's will be greatly appreciated
