WiFi connection on Windows 10

Good day all, I recently upgraded the OS on my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The WiFi connection now either doesn't connect or drops after a while.

I am using a Media Link wireless router with an Edimax extender. All the other devices that are connected to the extender are functional (windows 10 PC with a patch cord, a few Android wireless devices and an Amazon Echo dot, also wireless).

I unchecked an adapter setting which allows the PC to switch off the adapter to save power; the WiFi connection worked fine for a couple days then the problem recurred.

The adapter shows as disabled and the driver as not installed when the device is not functioning.

Win/10 is know to have issues with drivers.
Go to the chip website and get the Win/10 driver that fits your system {32 vs 64 bit}
