WiFi not connecting only works on hard wire?

Hi !

For those of you having issues with WiFi connections on your lap top as from your home or office. Using a modem & Netgear/
Components to establish connetion.

1. Unplug your modem & Netgear/component power source for at least 60 sec. Then plug in

2. On your laptop there are TOP keys
F1 to F12 look for the WiFi button make sure it's ON. If it's not white or any other color then it's off. RED color button shows off on some models. Some no buttons just buttons. Press up or down until it's ON check your connection if it's reading on your network bars.
Check your signal with mouse indicated by
4 to 5 bars on your connection to check.

3. You must have your Network DHCP ENABLED so the server automatically assign an IP to the computer from your WiFi network. In order to do this go to and highlight with mouse the bars indicated for Wifi. Next click Open Network and Sharing Center. Next view your Active Network's. If it's indicated by X then right click and use Administrator to Enable the DHCP called Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. Or Google it.

NOT windows update, but directly from the vendor
