Will reinstalling windows remove my partition

I have parted my drive into two and moved my all personal files into the new one. Now i want to reinstall Windows 7 . Will reinstalling windows remove the partition and delete my files or not.

Re-installing Windows will not alter partition configuration, unless you do a Custom Install and specifically alter the partitions yourself. This is a page much like Disk Management during Windows installation process.

There are two options, first option is to format the drive before installation, this option will remove all content on the partition. However all other partition are not effected, only the partition being installed to is effected. The second option is the In-Place Install method which will only replace the necessary files needed for the install.
