Win/10 upgrade on uefi boot system?

Existing Win/8.1 has the uefi boot so I am concerned that the update may work but fail to boot.

Anyone else with this configuration and successful upgrade?

Device which have UEFI BIOS they unable to boot in normal way. you need to booth them in advanced mode. here is the full process to boot UEFI BIOS device in easy way. Its also work on surface device you can try this method to boot windows 10 on your laptop or PC

That's and interesting article, but -- it suggests first login ...

Booting to the UEFI boot on all Windows 8.1 tablets and devices, means first logging on to Windows and going to PC Settings. There, click or tap "Update and recovery".

If "the update works but fails to boot"
clearly one can't login. :sigh:

The remainder of the article is similar to the XP Recovery Console, which I think might have a chance of getting to FIXBOOT
