Hi

I have two problems which needs answering (the only problem is I don't know the answer):

1) If you have original WIN XP and you go to win update (which finds some updates thet you don't have), you pres download and instal, and then you get a message: "falioure, could not dowload and instal". What might be the problem?

2) I cen not defragment any of my 2 partitions on my disc.

Help please

I can not do defrag
It is disabled - if I click the right mouse button on C and try to do defrag I can not because it is desabled

I can access it only throgh:

Administrative tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Defragmenter

But when I choose C disk and click defrag it won't start

follow this and see if the page file is off.
start/control panel/system/advanced/performance section, select settings/advanced tab/virtual memory section, select change, make sure that system managed size is selected, then select set/ OK

as far as the download is concerned, it may depend on what the actual download may be. it may be an office download that you may not have, it could be a break in connection. i have a download that is the same for outlook express, its not a problem, because it's not a security update.
