Windows 10 is not free but you can install it from a USB boot drive and when it asks for the product key you can type in a Windows 7 or 8 key that you have never used before to upgrade to Windows 10 with and that will work if you install the same version which means Home or Pro x64. If you don't put in the key it will still work until you get one down the road.
