Windows 11 is now available, memory leaks and performance sacrifices included

why 50 odd millions of lines of code = crap.
You don't need 50 odd million lines of code for automatic updates. This stupid feature alone has ruined my experience with Windows 10. I'm not moving forward with an OS that is bound to be worse. I'm a lucky one now that my PC will not support moving forward with MS. As long as my PC is fast enough to function as I need it too. Who is MS to tell me I need new hardware. That alone also makes Win11 crap programming.

Looks like you've been in a cave and asleep to boot because the major reason is stated in this article and has been spouted online again and again for months. Talk about clueless.
Lmao, don't get so upset please. There's nothing major Windows 11 brings that the vast majority of people care about.

It's their product, they can tell you. It's up to if you are OK with that or even care. If you are happy with with your computer, fine but calling things crap is a bit much. It may not be for you or what you want but lots of others may like it. Remember people will like things you dont.

How many people outside the tech world will do a fresh install of any OS or open a bunch file explorer windows?

Tell me again how this upgrade ruined your pc and or life both were probably the pits to begin with, don't blame MS for ur own failures.
What? You went way off topic. Failures? You don't know my life. I was just ********on how the year has been crazy/train wreck like Nvidia GPU's overheating/exploding, social media caught censoring us, COVID issue, not being able to find a GPU thanks to miners ect......

I'm really tired of MICROSOFT being MICROSOFT. There's always something. One step foreword and two back.

Seems nothing goes smoothly anymore lol.

"These findings have been confirmed by ComputerBase and UL Benchmarks, and the latter is working on an update for its benchmark utilities that will account for VBS and help users compare scores fairly."
I don't understand... if VBS is slowing it down by 10-20%, it's fair to give a 10-20% lower score. Nobody's talked about (in the past) artificially raising Wine-based scores to match their Windows counterparts, or more recently (now that the Wine D3D9/10/11/12 support at times outruns native Windows) artificially lowering the scores to match.

Some benchmarks have had slowdowns (both Windows and Linux) from the Spectre, Meltdown, etc. mitigations -- early on people were seeings 20%+ slowdowns for some workloads on some CPUs (I think both Windows and Linux have refined their workarounds so it's less now but still non-zero). Benchmarks did not talk about trying to adjust for this difference.

Oh well!
