amd 1.6G(bios original setting), 300 some odd Megs RAM, not sure about board asus, a78vx or something, clean install of xp/sp2 upon entering windows gui perform any activities or none and restart will occur in 30 secs. this is a repeating error tried to do windows updates but wont stay on for that long. turned cpu speed down to 1.2G and seemed to add about 15 secs. to the reboot wait time in windows gui. the only other setting below 1.2G in bios is manual and im not familiar with amd. i would guess its the cpu overheating and was wondering what kind of temperatures to be running it at.
