Windows 7 can't save files

I have windows 7 64bit. Some reason past couple days, many of my folders eg. Downloads and Desktop requiring administor privelages for me to save anything. Meaning any program like download managers or even Microsoft word cant save any files. Any ideas?

just noticed something in the permissions section of the security tab of each folder, my own name seems to be missing where as it is there for folders like my documents.

Log in as Administrator and reapply Full Control to your files. Or add yourself as an admin. Have you checked that you haven't got a virus lurking in the background?

thanks i managed to fix it. Some reason my own name "xx" wasnt on the list but i was an administrator. So i just went into permissions add object and entered xx and serched for it and added it to the two folders. fixed the problem
