Windows 8 - File Issues after restoring

  1. HI!!
    So Yesterday I had to restore my Windows 8 Asus laptop after Malware was found on it.
    I restored it to the date I began using the computer where It was working normally.
    It said it wouldn't affect my files .. but every time I try to play a Video or Audio file, this message comes up.

    Though when I open it up with WMP it works, could it be an APP issue?

    Downloading videos/movies/tv shows from the internet usually bring viruses with them. If you remove the virus, it will effect the file in which it came from. The malware remover probably deleted the files in which the virus was located in. Now the video files are corrupt. That is my take on the situation. I may not be correct though.
