I have a hp Pavilion a365c, I am running windows xp home. P4 2.8chip and 512 mb ram.
Every time I turn on my computer I get the following message.

Windows - No Disk
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive.

And then I have to hit the close button about 30 times before it goes away. So I went into the device manager and disabled the floppy drive and drive controllers. Then I went into the Bios and disabled the floppy drive and still received this message. I even went as far as taking the floppy drive out and I still received the same message.

I'm baffled anyone have some suggestions. Or a fix.

Some program is trying to access some disk device. It could be Windows Explorer trying to restore the last screen before shutdown or some arbitrary startup program or some entries in autoexec.nt config.nt

The filemon utility from sysinternals would help here. Run filemon before closing the message box and see what program is accessing what when you click close (and the error reappears)

Thanks I'll give that a try. I also talked to HP and they said that it could possibly
be the picture program so I am going to uninstall that to and see what happens.
