  1. Hi, I've been a having the same problem for awhile now. Widows fails to update ,and my computer undoes the changes than restarts. I can see that the updates are really starting to back up on my system. Any help with this?

Use the setting "check for updates - - let me choose"
Launch Update and select a group of 10-20 and run the installs.
    • they will install or fail as you have seen
    • if they install, repeat with the next 10-20
When it fails, you know the group in question, so, skip over them and install some more.

You will get 99% installed and a small set that need research as to why they fail.

Since your system recently has been cleaned of viruses, I would suggest trying a Windows repair.

IMO, installing a new operating system (Win/10) is excessive and inappropriate to the symptom of the O.P.
