Windows XP account at login

Before I got a virus, which is now fixed thanks to this great forum, I use to turn on the computer and it automatically went into my user account. Now when I turn on my computer, it goes to the user screen, then I have to select which user I went to log into.

How do I change this to go right into a selected users account?

You probobly have more than 1 profile on the PC. If you have more than 1 profile on the machine it will want you to select a profile. You might have created on another profile during setup. Had you created only the administrator account it would go right into the account. Maybe loggin in as an administrator and removing the other profiles might fix the problem but this is just a theory. Wait for other posts before making any changes.

Go into Control Panel, User Accounts, and delete the .NET something user account. Then select "Change the way users log on or off". Deselect "Use fast user switching" and reboot your computer
