  1. Windows XP freezes when I click on this xml file. Left or Right click, all of windows freezes, then I must restart. Even in safe mode, Windows still freezes. I have even tried using a DOS command and it STILL freezes. The xml in question is a chat-log from Windows Live Messenger. Its just this one chat-log, the rest of them are fine, and I JUST got a brand new harddrive (because my old one have many corrupt files. The ones deemed 'safe' to transfer to my new harddrive were approved by the IT guys at my college.) What's up?

Uninstall Windows Live. Reboot. Edit registry with RegCleaner. Defrag.
    Reboot. Reinstall Windows Live.

Kay, It didn't work, I need a different strategy to this. Oh and now theres an Exe thats infected (so says Command Antivirus) but the directory its in isn't really there. (its like C:/system volume information/_restore{ big string of numbers and letters}\RP40 and the executable is like A0020929.exe but that whole directory is, as i said, not there) please dont tell me i need a rebuild :S
