Wireless connection has stopped working - need help

Well... I have a Netgear wireless thingy, and my wireless connection on my laptop has worked flawlessly until now. A few days ago, my internet connection was dead... So I disconnected this and that and tried connecting the modem to my laptop. Well, I hooked it back up to my desktop and soon it started working again. On my laptop now it says that the wireless connection is "Excellent", but I'm not connected to the internet. Any ideas? And sorry if I wasn't too detailed, its late and I'm very tired :zzz: .
