Wirless Connection halts

  1. I have a linksys router and a linksys wirless nic, I have everything connected everything seems to work fine.

    But, about every 3 minutes to hour and a half my connection comes to a complete halt and then 1 minute later im back up and running again.
    I have never seen my signal strength go down durring these crashes.

    I've replaced the router (I had a netgear one, and had the same exact problem)

    I've replace my Wireless NIC.

    I've changed the channel.

    I've tried using the linksys softwear, and reconfiguring everything myself so that windows does not auto reconfigure still the same problem.

    I'm back to using the linksys software. I think the only other option is to try replacing the modem. Anyone else see anything I'm missing.

    First, you should find out what exactly fails. Is it the internet connection? Or the connection between your computer and the router? Or perhaps it's some Windows internal issue?

    Next time this happens, see if you can still connect to the router. Try accessing the webconfiguration page or ping the router. If the router responds, go look in the status page and see what the router has to say about the internet connection.
