Help! Windows/XP crashes interminnently with the following info in the system event log:

    Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 804fe25f, parameter3 f0fe1c98, parameter4 00000000.

Any idea what the problem may be?

Don't know. How can I tell? I can't tell from the event log and I did not pay much attention to the dialog box asking if I wanted to sent the dump to Microsoft. Is this where the info is?

You can find the source of the problem in the error dialog box. I think it was "view the detailed options of this report" or something like that. Its at the bottom of the box
