Hey, guys.
Apparently, I have a problem with certain icons and/or the general interface of Windows XP. Everything is glitched up; sometimes I see half an icon; the start menu is shifted a little bit to the right, leaving a thin transparent line down the middle on the left; whenever I click on certain areas, a black mark appears, blocking whatever window was supposed to be displayed, etc. My computer sometimes even freezes, forcing me to restart it (somehow, most of the time via. the big blue button down there..).
Here's what I've tried:
- Scanning for viruses and spyware (AVG and SpyBot)
- Reformatting and installing a fresh copy of Windows XP
- Opening up the computer and blowing off the *excess* dust (hopefully not damaging anything)
Even after all of these, the problem still persists. I suspect that the problem is hardware-related. Any opinions on what I should do?
