xp user account setup troubles

recently re-installed xp on my aunts laptop and i set her up with a user account, however as a result of this, in "Network Connections" the newly installed wireless adapter is disabled by default and not accessible (no options available on the right click).

when logged on with an admin account the wireless adapter is enabled and ready to go.

any ideas how i can enable the device so it can be used with non-admin accounts? obviously its a privelage i need to set some where but so far haven't managed it.

any help appreciated, thanks.
 
yea -- my system runs that way too.

I use a link on the desktop to allow RUN AS and provide the Admin/Pwd to
enable the device when needed.

try to ensure that the device is always powered on and enabled in all profiles
