Windows XP "Media Center Edition" polls as "Windows XP Pro" when installing and with system information programs. My question is, how much more do you actually get if you spend the extra money, (from $110.00 to $140.00) and actually buy XP Pro "Pro"? What's the difference?

Comparing Windows XP Media Center Edition to Other Editions of XP:
The primary difference between the Windows XP Media Center Edition and the Home and Professional editions of XP is the ability to use the computer as the center of home entertainment. With XP MCE and the necessary hardware, you can connect your computer to your television, use your computer as a DVR, view photos on your television, and control your computer with a remote.

Since Media Center PCs can't join an active domain, they aren't suited for corporate environments
