Your experience, restore from system image?

    I am contemplating breaking up a RAID1 (mirroring) array running Vista Home Prem. 32, and upgrading to Win7. I would then use the second drive to hold a Windows System Image that is a utility included with 7 Home Premium. Has anyone who has done a restore from a Windows created System Image please tell me how successful the operation was?

    It is OK.
    I have used it a few times. However not on Windows 7, as I only have XP Professional, Vista and a couple of others running dual boot with Ubuntu and XP/Vista.
    That said, I now prefer Acronis (and there are may others) far more than the Windows provided one..
    Be careful with the RAID array, I have known it go horribly wrong.
