    By about ten fold on average.

    I've rarely seen VHS tapes with such deterioration. In fact the biggest cause to such deterioration in my experience was recording weak analog signals, which have nothing to do with VHS quality.

    AVGN covers that! http://cinemassacre.com/2010/05/26/vhs-generation-loss/ pretty humorous video, but he re-records a VHS tape until it unwatchable.

    The bad thing about this is the poor intern at YouTube who has to rewind all those videos. :(

    I only have 1 meg DSL, and VHS quality would be a step up for me. For all their faults, you never have to wait for a VHS tape to buffer...:mad:
