I was changing a network setting for the nforce 4 chipset nic and instead of changing the setting, I was presented with this generic error. The nforce ethernet gave me so much trouble that I installed a pci linksys nic. If nvidia actually cared enough to write working drivers for vista ... many users would have less headaches. They never did get their "hardware firewall" to work on xp or vista AFAIK, which is an advertised feature. Now they can't even make proper drivers for their current 8 series cards. Nvidia drivers are crap IMO.
