the OS is Kubuntu

the Desktopmanager is Beryl (run's on several distributions)



next investment i'll do is on hardware ;-)

So Kubuntu has more effects then vista, but it is less harsh on the system? I read that is it true?

Beryl is not new.. there's also Compiz and for low performance Computers a simple 3DDesktop application..

i don't know the vista-look - and i'm not gonna test it (guess why ;-)

btw.. when you turn the Desktop - the Background is rotating as real..

you also get wobbling windows and animated Actions as well as snowflakes or raindrops incl. whipper

actually i run gutsy gibbon kubuntu in pre-alpha and Beryl's running fine on the top of all

the laptop is a 1.7GHz without 3D-HW support
