Here's my WD Raptor compared to 3 other IDE drives.
Top Left - WD Raptor; 74GB, 8MB cache, 10,000RPM, SATA Top Right - Samsung SP0411N; 40GB, 2MB cache 7,200RPM, EIDE Bottom Right - WD Caviar SE; 120GB, 8MB cache, 7,200RPM, EIDE Bottom Left - Seagate ST340810A; 40GB, 2MB cache, 7,200RPM, EIDE What I don't understand is why all of the drives spike down like that. It's not even on partition transition points. |
