Just an update, I lowered the voltage to 1.3875, but kept the same speed and the CPU is still stable.



Max temp is now 60C. That extra voltage put a heck lot more heat onto the CPU...

Why do you think there is that much of a difference between each core's temp? I see the same thing on my 6400.



And yeh Intel TAT can really spike the temps. Mine hits 62 at stock speeds with stock cooler. But something is screwy with my heatsink, I don't think it is contacting good with the cpu (its been removed and reapplied probably 15+ times on 2 different motherboards). I just built a system with a 6420 and the temps on it are in the upper 40s under full load, same case, same airflow.

I've got no idea why there is such a discrepancy with TAT load temps and Orthos/other programs' load temps.



Either way, its good to know the higher one.
