This can also be a good way to find out if poor performance is related to heat issues. Honestly, I'd have no shame in doing this (as I'm sure the poster does not)

Id be scared of condensation with an air conditioner, although when I was younger I remember putting an icepack on top of the motherboard xD

I actually did that to my desktop at one point, when I so un-wisely removed the air-duct thingy on a Dell... that green air-guide thingy... that's there cause they didn't put a fan ON the CPU heatsink, so they just put a tube from the heatsink to the case fan...

I eventually replaced the part lol
