I keep the side off and there's a small fan blowing across the modem and router, and into the case.

Crude, but efficient. :-)

Dell and their obsession with green drive bay clips lol. That is like the shortest (horizontally, not vertically) case I have ever seen.

But - it is very easy to work on, unlike those WalMart HPs etc from the same era, where everything was so packed in that you had to remove the entire front assembly just to get at the RAM. What a PITA those were to work with.

The only really stupid thing Dell did with this design was to design the cover so that the power cord must be removed to take it on/off. Don't know what they were smoking that day.

When I ever decide to upgrade, I seriously may just get a new mobo etc and keep using this case!

Well, I wish you luck in that. You'll probably need another case fan or two. Or just another desk fan.

Keep it cool dude. Bit drastic, but as long as it works and you don't have kids, animals, or clumsy friends. I took the side panels into the workshop, where there was space bebween components i drill holes in the case.

I have one like that now, but it has a 866 p3 in it, is easy to work on. Ram in right there and the processor is just under the power supply (2 screws to remove,)
