Core 2 quads are good. They can handle any task you throw at em.

I havn't even had my Q6600 for a year and I'm happy with it at 3.0 and sometimes 3.2. It's almost frustrating how fast technology is moving along but then again its how I got my quad for 250 bucks!

whoa 250 was pretty good bak then. I guess it is upsetting you know. All my hardware will be considered low end in 3 years, sad story.
