Thanks license I guess the computer people do keep it clean and organized . I do pay them enough for it though lol. I am putting in an other thread with more pictures and basically the same question. "what else should I get for this computer" here is the thread and it has more photo's and you can see the PSU in a diffrent photo arkantos. > http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic127484.html . I am updating the computer this week and putting about 1,500 into it with the recomendations of the Techspot members. This is a gaming pc so any other information on how to make it better is much apreciated.

Cheers, Arkantos and license

I can see why you said that your videocard will eat mine;-). The thing that you need now is a nice CPU cooler. What do you think that mine still needs?

Thanks for your help.

I will wait a bit until next year. Cause i'm already spending my money on a car and some other stuff this year. But i will definetly post some questions for next year.

By the way do you know if halo3 will be coming out on pc? And if so is it only for windows 7 cause that would mean that i have to upgrade to windows 7.......

Not much to go on here, nice graphics card... Thats about it to be honest. Hard to say what else you need, better wire management would improve looks, new CPU cooler will allow for some overclocking and better performance, by the looks of your RAM you have 3 sticks, thats a no no for performance. RAM works best when paired that way it runs dual channel doubling your bandwidth, so either get yourself another stick to match the odd one you currently have or just get rid of that no name looking stick and get another 2GB pair of patriot RAM identical to your current pair.

And FYI local computer stores do some of the worse jobs on cable management imaginable so either do it yourself or find someone who knows what they are doing.

"LOL Tehoste. DEFFINATLY NOT. I spent about 2,000 on that setup plus about 800 in new parts in the last year"

WHOA! 2g on this!? I think you got ripped off dude. This setup shouldn't have cost more than a grand. When was this computer purchased and what were the specs before the $800 upgrade?

My pc cost me around $1300 http://www.techspot.com/gallery/show...php/photo/3523

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. Normally I only mention what I spent inside the case in the price. lol

umm I got it about 3 years ago. All that has changed is the graphics card. powersupply, one gig of ram and thats about it. The two grand included the screen mouse keyboard and everything else. speaker setup cost about 100

ya probebly around a grand for just the tower and the parts in it. The screen was the most expensive part. about 1000 itself. I got the lg flatron 19inch widescreen and a good speaker setup

Hey gordon I thought i'd drop by and say hi.

By the way i ran into a few problems.

I've got some bad news and good news!

The bad news is that my Radeon 4850 began giving some problems; It didn't want to start up. The day before it happened i played NFS pro street(at night). The next day my motherboard didn't detect my videocard at all.

I tried getting the card out and putting it in again. It started to work after that but, after i turned my pc off again after say 20min. it didn't detect my videocard again.

So i didn't wast anymore time and brought it back for another one(thank god warranty).

But since i was going to get another one i thought i would put part of the money that i already saved for an ati radeon 4890 and buy the 4890;-).

So the good news is that i bought myself an ati radeon 4890. I'll tell ya'll later in detail and show some foto's later too (I bought it with a performance cooler on it......)
