You lucky.......Wouldnt it have been been wise to wait for it to turn PCI-E? Saying that, i suppose if you can afford one in the first place you have money to burn.

Well I would get a PCI-e one but since I've recently built a new system that only has AGP 8X as PCI-e isn't really out yet I doubt it would have been much use. Plus I think by the time PCI-e is standard along with BTX form factor and DDR2 I'll possibly build a new system again. I'll just have to wait and see



Also all the information I've read about PCI-e graphics cards suggests that it is going to be at least one more generation before they truely take advantage of the massive bandwidth that PCI-e offers. At the moment the cards are built to internalise as much of the graphical operations as possible (hence the ever increasing amount of onboard ram).

Hey, now it's 2008 and that card is pretty much history, it's incredible what 4 years does to the PC market. In 4 years from card like the 8800 GTX will be looked down on and laughed at just about, nice little piece of history you got there much like my X850 Pro AGP.
