Umm, hardly a dell now when it has a new motherboard and video card.

The motherboard is what made the system a dell, so now, it's a custom build in a dell case, with some dell parts. Anyway it's about 23x faster now in aquamark 3, getting 40,000 points now with my 6200 soft modded to a 6600 and oc'ed some.

how'd you get the new motherboard to fit in that old dell case? My 4500 case was sooooo small in there, not to mention it had a platter that went in the case fitted to the old motherboard. I just said screw all the work and got new everything.

It wasn't a problem since the 2300 uses a standard matx motherboard and standard power supply. I only had to remove 4 mobo standoffs since the original board had the cpu cooler screwed to standoffs through the board, while the new gigabyte board uses a plastic heatsink mount and doesn't need the standoffs. Only problems were that I had to mod my front panel connector to fit the new board, and also, my front usb can't be connected anymore. I guess that's not a big deal, I made the usb port area into an air vent instead.
