I used "lucite" material for the window. It says it's 100x stronger than glass. I cut it with a hand held jig saw.

I cut it with a metal-cutting, hand-held jig saw with a fine tooth metal cutting blade. I had to drill out two of the corners first to give the jig saw a starting point to cut from. After it was cut out I used a dremel and a grinding drum to smooth out the cuts.

I'd love to do that to my E510, but it is a relatively nice case compared to most dell cases, and I can't bring myself to cut it up. Maybe when I get a new case and can retire the Dell... Anyone want to send me thier old case? :P

I bet it would be hard to do that with a Dimension 8300. It has a funky split down the middle case.

You can cut plexi with a jigsaw or any saw except a hand saw really, sure you used something other than a jigsaw for the holes
