it's ok, i have faith in you...
if you're interested in tweaking windows, wouldn't you want to decrease boot time?
eliminating desktop icons helps a bit... plus it seems like toolbars are easier.. especially when you're busy with programs that use screen space, such as just about everything

Another vote against icons... waste of space; also you seem to like to have more programs to do the same thing; is redundancy that important to you? Anyway, this is not about you, this is an example of a larger phenomenon.

For example Alcohol is a very powerful tool that can do what daemon tools does. The newer Nero packages can do some image mounting as well. Also i would not use both AVG and Kaspersky. I prefer the first and do not see the need to have two antivirs on my sys. Heck... just go Linux and you can pretty much forget about viruses and certainly about adware and spyware :]

Nice - but could have made the theme a little more Vista-ish and I prefer transparent looks. I hate Active Desktop! Let it die!

Theres nothing an antivirus does that intelligent internet management skills can't do nearly as well.
For instance - using Firefox or Opera instead of IE, not downloading porn, avoiding suspicious emails, etc.
edit: I agree though, too many icons, i'm a start menu fan
