Yahoo dumps Google search

CNet reports that starting today Yahoo will no longer use Google as its preferred engine for performing web searches. I assume there is little Google will lose with it since Yahoo has used competitor Overture for delivering paid contextual ads in the past, in the other hand Yahoo will most likely try to overtake on Google’s efforts. Following the basic rule of “the more competition the better”, I couldn’t be happier about the move, though I will keep using Google for web search unless something goes wrong with it.
