"Firefox is increasingly becoming the browser of choice for people fed up with spyware and other internet annoyances." - David McGuinness, Mozilla contributor.

Firefox continues to do very well on the download front, with the download count now passing the five million mark. The five million download count, which was passed today, beats all previous records for downloads of a Mozilla based browser. Something like 125,000 users are currently downloading Firefox each day.

  1. now is that 5 Million of version 1.0PR or a few hundred thousand of each .5, .6, .7, .8, .81, .9, .91, .92, .93, 1.0PR? the numbers mean nothing.
  2. That's a good question, but either way it is crazy that it has actually gotten that far. And as they say once the final version comes out November 9th, I'm sure there will be quite a few million more to download it.
