Apple today demonstrated the second generation of its iPod mini digital music players. The new models have increased battery life (up to 18 hours), USB charging and a new lightweight design. There is a new 4GB model, which is priced at $199. If this is not enough for you, then there is the 6GB version, which will retail at $249. The devices are available in the following colours: silver, pink, blue and green.

"At this breakthrough price point, and with more than twice the battery life, the new iPod mini should appeal to even more music lovers." - Apple chief executive Steve Jobs.
