nVidia Lowers GeForce 6800 Prices

nVidia announced last week that it was going to slash prices on it's most popular card, the GeForce 6800. It's been done, and now the “perfect-fit” of the high-end barrel is now an incredible $100 cheaper. This puts a lot of pressure on ATI to lower their prices as well, something that is good for all of us.

This puts the current lineup at $299 for a GeForce 6800 Ultra (from $399) and $199 for the 6800 GT. Not bad at all for a card that is right on par or sometimes surpasses the X800 series.
