Opera Passes 1 Million Downloads In 2 Days

By Justin Mann

On September 23, 2005, 7:31 PM

Opera has surpassed a million downloads in two days for their browser since they decided to release the ad-free version of their browser for free. Wanting to take a bit of the Firefox action, Opera has helped both browers – Because according to their site, the majority of the downloads in the past two days have been from Internet Explorer users. This free opera is supposedly going to be for good, and if so that is a wonderful thing. To those who want to give Opera a try I highly encourage you to do so – you've got nothing to lose.

  1. Long live Opera!!! hoping for another 10 million.. inthe next10 days
  2. You should try Avant from www.avant.com I did a comparison side by side between, well, FireFox and Avant and between the two Avant just blows it away in features. As a power user I definitely prefer Avant. Now, I really should try Opera and do a comparison to be fair.
