ATI reduces prices on X1600 and X1300 GPUs

The various GPUs making up ATI's new X1600 line are getting a price cut. ATI will be reducing the cost of the X1600XT to $62 from $75, and the cost for an X1600PRO GPU is now $45. With increasing competition, ATI is almost being forced to play the price hand in light of the continued success of nVidia's 6xxx lines as lower-cost but powerful solutions. The X1300s will be down to $34, and the X1300LE to $25. The low end market will see a price drop for sure because of this, much to enthusiasts and integrators delight. ATI's RV580 series are still a bit out, so price dropping probably isn't what they most want to do, but in order to keep pace they must.
