For those interested in the as of yet rarely heard of Crossfire, Techreport has an interesting piece on their foray with the new technology. It covers the concept of master cards, the require steps to getting it to function, what sort of performance you're in for and more. Some interesting points I saw was the capability for a 2560x1600 resolution, much better than the previous locked 1600x1200 @ 60Hz that annoyed so many. They also go over why the master card concept is unique and why it has bothered some. If you are considering buying a Crossfire solution, you might want to take a look. It isn't half as bad as some would make it out to be, but there is definitely room for improvement on the usability end.
