Take-Two has confirmed that it has shipped more than 1.7 Million copies of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in the UK and the US, for PC and Xbox360 platforms. Only released last month, the game is now the biggest selling title on Xbox360, and was developed by Bethesda Softworks and co-published by 2K Games.

Launched last month, the news makes the game the biggest selling title on Microsoft’s next generation console, the Xbox360 so far, suggesting that gamers want slow burning RPGs rather than high speed racing games.

"We are very encouraged by the worldwide consumer demand for Oblivion", stated Paul Eibeler, Take-Two's President and Chief Executive Officer.

  1. Yep I picked up my copy for pc and i must say i am pleased. Great graphical scenery along with all the weapons and additional things you can imagine. The only con which isnt that much of a con at least not for me is that this game needs a lot of power...I mean were talking about above average graphics cards at least and nothing less than a gig of ram so yup. Its funny cuz my friend bought a whole new computer just to play this game because his other computer couldnt handle it. LOL
